All LD members are encouraged to read the letter linked in this message from Helen Eccles, Regional Organiser, UNISON South West, addressed to Somerset Councillors about the current risks of proceeding with a TUPE transfer to Dimensions on 1 April without undertaking a review to consider the implications are significant, and asking ask that Somerset County Councillors consider deferring the TUPE transfer date.

Hearts Union week. Branch workplace meeting today was well attended. The country-wide video defending trade unions, presented by Frances O'Grady and Eddy Izzard, discussed the Trade Union and the threat to workers rights by this government.

Local Government Services Pay Offer Accepted

The proposal over Pay from the employers had been accepted by UNISON members. Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultative ballot. As the settlement relates to a period up to April 2016, we are no longer in dispute with the employers over Pay.
